PROGRAM OVERVIEW
The Bachelor of Education Program in Teaching English (International Program) is awarded for mastering a field of scholarship, for learning the methods of investigation appropriate to that field, and for completing original research.
Although the courses Bachelor of Education Program in Teaching English (International Program) mainly aims at developing graduate’s efficiency of being Professional Teacher with the Moral and Ethics and enabling for reasonably and intelligently solving various kinds of problems of teaching and leaning. Besides, the program enables to produce the graduate with insightful knowledge of the teaching and learning management so that they are able to teach in reasonably and intelligently to both Thais and foreigners. As a result, those who have studied teaching English regarding this program can rightly apprehend and effectively practice along with Buddhist principles and better understanding on the current situations of the world and society and well-versed in using modern technology to propagate the auspicious teachings of English.
Teachers must model strong character traits, including perseverance, honesty, respect, lawfulness, fairness, patience, and unity. As an educator, teachers must treat every student with kindness and respect without showing any favoritism, prejudice or partiality.
Teachers accept and treat learners as unique human beings. Teachers respect the rights of learners and react to them humanely and fairly.
Teachers try to understand the learners’ starting point, thoughts and opinions. Teachers considerately handle matters linked to the learner’s personality and privacy. Teachers pay special attention to learners who require care and protection and do not, under any circumstances, tolerate bullying or the abuse of other people.
Teachers’ work also includes teaching learners to co-operate and to become good members of society. Building up confidence and good relationships is part of teachers’ work.
Teacher’s values and ethical principles
The core of teaching consists of four basic values: dignity, truthfulness, fairness and responsibility & freedom.
All teaching is founded on ethics – whether it be the teacher-student relationship, pluralism or a teacher’s relationship with their work.
Dignity means respect for humanity. Teachers must respect every person, regardless of gender, sexual orientation, gender diversity, appearance, age, religion, social standing, origin, opinions, abilities and achievements.
Truthfulness is one of the core values in teachers’ basic task, which involves steering learners in navigating life and their environment. Honesty with oneself and others and mutual respect in all communication is a basic aspect of teachers’ work.
Fairness is important both when encountering individual learners and groups but also in the work community. Fairness involves in particular promoting equality and non-discrimination and avoiding favouritism.
Teachers are entitled to their own values, but in their work, teachers’ responsibility is tied to their basic task and its standards such as legislation and the curriculum.

CURRICULUM
The Bachelor of Education Program in Teaching English (International Program) aspirant specifies a program area in which classes and research work are to be done and in which she or he expects to become a scholar. This area of concentration is at least 134 graduate credit hours taken at Department of Curriculum and Teaching (DCT), Mahachulalongkorn rajavidyalaya University, exclusive of research credits and research skills requirement. The Bachelor study aspirant, with the assistance of an advisor, constructs a bachelor program plan of coursework and research opportunities.
